Submissions

All submissions must be finished ink work that meets a basic standard of presentation. Submissions will not be judged on skill, but please give your work a little care and love. You may submit 1 deviation per folder per day.

Accepted mediums: black or coloured ink, ink and wash, any type of pen, marker, calligraphy tools, digital. Mixed media should be at least 50% ink and convey the aesthetics of ink art.

Presentation: Submissions should have thoughtful composition and cropping. Scans or photos of traditional work should have good lighting, focus and image quality.

Line art intended for colouring will not be accepted. Submissions must be finished, standalone works of art. Exceptionally refined line art will be considered.

Things that will be declined:

poorly presented work
works in progress and line art intended for colouring
advertisements, adoptables, messages to your watchers, or anything that is not art
content which is abusive to other deviants or to a specific race, gender, religion, etc.

FOLDERS
Featured > Works of exceptional skill, creativity and/or impact. Closed to submissions.
Drawings > Traditional works with a more precise feel.
Paintings > Traditional works with a more fluid feel.
Tattoos > Tattoo designs and photos of real tattoos.
Calligraphy > Traditional or digital work that focuses on writing.
Digital Ink > Digital painting or drawing that conveys the aesthetics of ink art.
Comics > Inked pages for serial work including comics and graphic novels.
Other > Submit here if you don't know which folder to use or if there isn't an appropriate folder.
Tutorials > All tutorials and guides relating to ink.
